Configuring Assetto Corsa for JustRace - A Guide for Server Administrators

Who is this for?
Server admins who want to user Asseto Corsa with the JustRace system.

Pre-requisites
We assume you have a working JustRace Server Manager (JRSM). If not you need to follow this guide:

Step 1: Installing Assetto Corsa Dedicated Server
Create a folder structure for the AC server install. We recommend the following:

1. X:\DedicatedServers\AssettoCorsa
   (Replace X with the correct driver letter)
   
2. Download the steam console client: SteamCMD
3. Create a new folder called steamcmd in X:\DedicatedServers\AssettoCorsa and extract the SteamCMD zip to that folder.

4. Download the AssettoCorsa_AutoInstall.zip (bottom of this page) and extract the contents to X:\DedicatedServers\AssettoCorsa

5. Open AssettoCorsa_update.bat and AssettoCorsa_validate.bat in a text editor. We recommend Notepad++
6. In both files change the USERNAME and PASSWORD to a steam account that has AssettoCorsa on it.

7. Save your changes and then execute (double click) AssettoCorsa_update.bat
   1. The first time it is run steamcmd will install and update itself to the X:\DedicatedServers\AssettoCorsa\steamcmd folder
   2. You may need to validate the computer is allowed to login to steam. Follow the on-screen instructions
   3. You will then see steam first download the AC Dedi and then the AC client (the game)

Step 2: Updating JustRace Server Manager with AC Server Content

1. Navigate to X:\DedicatedServers\AC_JR\server1\server and run ACServerManager.exe
2. Click "Update Server Content"

3. Content that is already up to date will say "Can't be updated"

4. Close AC Server Manager
5. Open JustRace Server Manager and configure the Assetto Corsa Server Installation Folder and then click "Refresh Cars and Tracks"

6. You now have a working AC Server Installation. You may wish to adjust the AC Server Ports that JustRace will use. Please refer to Changing Dedicated Server Ports or Increasing Server Count - A Guide for Admins

Step 3 Installing Mod's / Adding New Content to AC
This step needs to be done everytime you install new content to Assetto Corsa

Content Purchased Through Steam

1. Execute AssettoCorsa_update.bat to download the content
2. Navigate to X:\DedicatedServers\AC_JR\server1\server and run ACServerManager.exe
3. Click "Update Server Content"

5. Close AC Server Manager
